“New England is in my heart and this is why I paint it.”

Leigh’s paintings are realistic and contemplative, often with a hint of nostalgia for life as it used to be when she was growing up in rural Maine.
Living and painting in New England offers such riches of inspiration. Ocean, mountains, lakes, waterfalls and the people of this beautiful part of our land all captivate the artist’s mind. The classical training Leigh Stetson Schoch received in college has grown with her and is evidenced in strong compositions and refined techniques. Leigh currently teaches at the Currier Museum in Manchester, New Hampshire.
